Self-service: New blood for my AT

On Saturday, I decided to give the AT a little quality time, and henceforth set off down to Craigs for parts. Oil filter, air filter, and oil. Whilst shopping, I also bought new antifreeze, and some degreaser.

Got back home, got a cold Windhoek from the fridge, and started undressing my boney. The whole process took me less than 2 hours, (drinking time included).

Changed oil
Changed water
New oil filter
New air filter
New antifreeze
Cleaned engine and chain
Lubed and adjusted chain
Adjusted idling speed.
Cleaned breather hoses
Checked and adjusted brakes
Lubed centre and sidestand.

Cost: About R320, including soap, grease, chain lube, etc. (but excluding beers)

A bargain. And very enjoyable. 8)
