Should I buy? Calling all KLR owners

Thinking ahead to the planned Kaokoland trip next year I stumbled across this '04 KLR650 - the A model which has a bigger tank. It has about 7k kilometres on the clock and the owner wants GBP1,325 for it. No service history unfortunately. It looks like it's in a good condition apart from scratches to the right hand guard, rear tyre which needs to be replaced and then something else which is a bit more worrying and that is a clutch cover which has been dented and now has a slight oil leak where the clutch cable goes into the engine. How expensive is it to replace the clutch cover and should I be worried that something else could be damaged?
