I think we need a high-res version of this pic,
So we can name and shame the bastards that made us do the river crossing Again!!!  :p  :p

I was broken by the second crossing. Lost count of how many times I dropped the bike in the river coming back  :imaposer:  :imaposer:

this musta been one of best outrides i ever done. wasnt slightly technical but more quite technical. awesome ride, awesome people. grunt big big thanks for organising and for opening your home to us. and a special thanks to your lovely wife for doing recovery, being the perfect hostess, and making the best potatoe salad i ever eaten. that drz is awesome, did drop it twice , once back wheel went in a hole, once in the mixture of mud and cow dung slosh when i tried to climb the berm. big hats off to mama for sticking with us on her mini bike, sorry about the puncture. another big hats off to the ous what rode the big dogs, if i was on mine i may have gone home early. and to eatmykatoom and his mrs for going 2 up awesome guys. grunt has many pics that his boys took and he has promised to post em.
...really good day , no one hurt, 1 broken mirror, 1 800 switch gear or clutch (i forget) many smiling faces, many dirty wet muddy people and bikes....i reckon instead of braai next time we do a bike wash  icon_biggrin

you guys rock

Some interesting pics there  >:D I'm sure there will be some good stories and memories after that ride.  ;D

:laughing4: He wasn't falling over, he was demonstrating to the rest of us how to, in the event of a spill, recover your bike! That man can ride :thumleft:

He dropped his bike in the river just to show everyone how to haul it out again?  :imaposer:  :BangHead: :dontknow:

Copy of post ....

Grunt, you've put together what must be one of the greatest DS rides around Gangster Paradise, with a great mix of terrain. A big thumbs up -  :thumleft:  :thumleft:

I had a huge grin on my face all day.  ;D

Hats off to all the fellas riding 200kg plus bikes - you did exceptionally well. Great display of skills. This was a shade more than slightly technical.

Andrew and partner were like one - standing in unisin. I was behind them at one point and wished I had a headcam rolling - it was poetry.

We had some good laughs at the river crossings. Lots of soggy feet :ricky:

Met a lot of great folk. The rain helped :3some:

Bikermom did exceptionally well until she got a puncture.  :thumleft:

Thanks Max for surrendering you spot on the trailer for a good cause. Got bikermom and her bike home OK.

Grunt, apologies to Carol for muddying your spot and I hope that your newby trees survived :ricky:

Grunt thanks for the hospitality - Prime spot you've got there - ideal for large parties

Definitely a ride for the calendar.  :3some:

Uhm....said tongue in cheek

THanks Deon for organising, was a brilliant ride! Good to meet everyone. A touch stiff this morning.

Sjoe seems the mud baths werent enough for some bikes that they had to go swimming in the river, or was it just to get them clean again  ;) - nice one guys  :)

Thanks SO for organising, Grunt! Definitely one of our best rides and although we got caught in a torrential downpour on our way home and lost two phones to it, we arrived home freezing cold, wet, covered in mud with brown faces and smiles from ear to ear! It was super awesome with all the "slightly" technical things that make the adventure more fun, I am stiff in at least 98% of my body but it feels good! Looking forward to the next one!!
