Hi Wilddog community! First time poster here so please let me know if any mistakes and I'll fix them or remove the post or whatever is wrong 🙏

I'm an ex-rider who had a 125cc dual sport bike when I was 16-18, now I'm a 24 Year old who has recently moved down from Boksburg to Cape Town for a new job and really want to get back to riding. Currently going through the learners and drivers license process but have been really diving back into motorcycles.

I wanted to know what would be the smallest displacement bikes which would be realistic to use as a commuter? I want to be able to go on the highway as well as just ride around in town to explore the beautiful city. I don't want to be cruising at 180kph or anything crazy and want to be as fuel efficient as possible so would prefer a beginner bike. :) I also would like to not spend an arm and a leg if possible.

Some of the bikes I had in mind:
- Sym NHT 200
- Mutt Mushman 250
- BMW G 310 GS
- Triumph speed 400

I also really like the sound of the Honda NC750X DCT.

If you guys have any experience riding around Cape Town and dealing with the wind and weather year round I would love to hear your thoughts!
