Good day fellow dogs.

I know some of you don't like this, but this thread is going to serve as a 'feeler' as I want to find out if there is interest and whether or not it will be worth while for me to sell...

I have a 1981 model Honda CX500 which I bought twice from the same owner   When I first bought it I was not into dual purpose yet.  Then I bought the GS and the CX started gathering dust.  Previous owner came up to me one day saying he feels like riding again so I sold the bike back to him on condition that he gives me first option when he wants to part with it again.  Long story short, I bought it back from him for the second time a few years later.

The idea was to strip the bike completely and clean/polish/paint everything that needed some attention (kind of like a restoration) but I found out that I am not a mechanic and did not go through with my plan.

Some info:
- 37000km on the clock  :deal:
- Mechanically the bike is 100%.  It starts easier than my GS and runs like a dream.
- The paintwork is in excellent condition (tank and all the plastic bits).  There is some flaking on the frame by the footpegs.
- Tyres still food for a fair amount of km's.
- Battery replaced last year.
- As is a common problem with these bikes, the cylinder heads and engine block is prone to corrosion/oxidation.  That was my main reason for wanting to strip the bike as I wanted to give that a good clean/polish.

I am quite a perfectionist and I know that some small cosmetic things which might bother me others will not even notice.  In my opinion the bike is in excellent original condition considering it is 36 years old!

The bike is currently with my dad in Heidelberg (Western Cape).  I would prefer the potential buyer to come and have a look for him/herself.

I am asking R25 000.00.

EDIT:  My price is non-negotiable...  :deal:  You are more than welcome to offer me more if you want to!
