My beloved DR is up for sale, I bought a new bike and the DR is no longer getting the attention it deserves. Specs as follows:
2001 DR650SE (USA Spec - speedo in mph)
28700km (17840 mi)
Good overall condition with the usual scratches and scrapes from riding in the dirt
Performance foam air filter with spare K&N filter
GSXR1000 exhaust, exhaust port matched on head and header weld bead smoothed
Modified airbox
Rejetted for exhaust and airbox mods (great power improvement over stock)
Newish clutch (about 1000km on it)
New Excel front rim
New Michelin Sirac tyres
Fatbar on raisers
Footpegs lowered by 20mm
Custom bashplate and luggage rack
Custom chain guide
LED indicators
Tail tidy with LED taillight
Clutch and sidestand interlock switches removed
Pooratech folding mirrors
Inline fuel filter mod
NSU screws removed and refitted with loctite
All chassis bearings and seals recently replaced and/or lubed
Issues:
Scratches on the plastics
Exhaust can is quite dented on the inner side an scratched on the outside - works fine but doesn't look great
Cylinder base gasket seeps oil - this is "normal" on pre-2003 DRs and hasn't really bothered me
Left rear indicator stalk is broken, but the bike will be supplied with a replacement
