It is with a heavy heart that I post this advert and offer my bike for sale - only because I have just bought a new fuel injected 500.
I did Amageza 2015 on this bike and it ran faultlessly for every 1 of the 5012 km I rode it in that week and every km I have ridden on it since then - and helped me earn my 18th place finishers medal.
2007 KTM 525 XC-W DESERT RACER
420 hours and 27 319 km
Religiously maintained by all 3 owners - bought new in 2007 from KTM Cape Town by WayneH then passed on to Pure Orange and lastly me.
No expense spared - this bike was stripped and rebuilt from front to back in the months leading up to Amageza 2015
Cylinder head rebuild with lightweight Kibblewhite valves and springs at 320 hours and 19 665 km AND new piston rings fitted at same time
New DID Gold X Ring chain and 14 / 48 sprockets fitted before WC Baja 2016 - done maximum 500 km since fitting
Michelin Desert tyres front and back
Tubliss on both wheels
25 litre translucent Acerbis tank - good for 450 km range

Wide footpegs
Complete exhaust system ceramic coated inside and outside by Powerkote
Seat widened, padded and covered by Nithrone
