Solo trip from Pta to Nelsprit !

on with the road i hit tar, thats okay "dis hoe dit is met Mike" , and refuel in Stoffberg, resting the ass, i saw thes two trucks,

one pulling and one pushing. What that is they are moving, this photographer does not know. Impressive, hell yea.

from Stoffberg it's on towards Lydenburg via the little dirt road leading from outside Stoffberg to dullstroom. What a road from heavy washed out single track to some bad rocky mountain pass.  then towards Lydenburg!

from Lydenburg  dirt towards Sodwala caves. Awesome road ended up going the a mix of dirt sections and ended up inside the forests with the mist pulling in. cold and surreal i just had to sit there for a while just taking in the the sights.

that makes this kind of traveling so great. taking roads that are not visited by a 100th of the population. And thats quiet sad.

Awesome pics!  I can't wait to get a bike again and take my planned 4 day Lowveld trip!  Much of the routes you took is included.  :thumleft:
 
Slept in a backpackers in Nelspruit called the funky monkey,

had a good braai lots of meat, pap and sauce, the works!

left the next morning to wards machadodorp on the highway, left at leydenburg  onto dirt, that stoped just short of lydenburg.


the big truck was still outside stoffburg, were leaving the next morning early!!!

went to dullstroom, bought the kids some sweets and took the same route home.

just outside dronkwordspruit i hit my 1000 km,

total trip 1124 km in two days, not one puncture and the bike runs like a dream.


anyone have a route to Louis Trichardt as i need to shoot there for the next  days,  :mwink: :mwink: :mwink:

Fantastic trip - green fields out there. The bike is lovely, really like it, especially in that last photo - the German Shepherd looking after the sheep.  :biggrin:
