Amazing how mony solo ride addicts there are....maybe we should all do a solo ride together  :imaposer:

We can all pretend we dont see each other and sort of just hook up in the evenings  :imaposer:

Hey CG, nice ride...
You went SOLO?? Lekke pics and a decent bankie aswell...

Nice trip & very nice report.
Swartberg can become treacherous in bad weather.....I've been there when it started to snow, and worst of all my jacket had been left out in the rain the previous night.
Froze my nuts off.

We are packing we leave  Thurs morning,J Bay EC lookout for Red 1200  Two up So keen.
Good stuff CD
Thanks for making the effort great report .

Nice report that makes me envious. I also enjoy the odd solo ride. I'm sure the okes that sometimes ride with me enjoy it too - they don't have to wait for me.

On such rides and long mountain bike races (rides actually) I take the PIN off my cell phone and make sure ICE is the last number dialled. Just in case.

Hey C

Awesome report  :thumleft:

You capetonians really have amazing scenery in your backyard.

I know exactly what you mean when you talk about staring at your DaKar and it moving you  ;)  I feel the same about mine especially when its fully loaded and ready to roll.

Ive also found that people in cars are very open and keen to chat to solo bikers in a far off place - it must be that they sense the adventure and want to find out more about it.

Thx
H

Yeah, thats been my experience.

If I go riding with 2 or more mates, people tend to leave us alone. But if you're by yourself, they're much friendlier.
