Here’s a head – up to owners of the new shape KLR650
Shark_ZA taught me to route a spare clutch cable on my bike next to the existing cable. Now I have the old KLR and everything works fine, but not so on the new shape KLR. It turns out the front looks a bit different, and after making poor Cave Girl ride with a squeaky bike for mile upon mile with a front – end that just did not want to turn, I finally trace the fault to this – the spare clutch cable is taking up too much space just below the key lock – and catching the whole steering mechanism.
Some photos.
In the pictures, the spare clutch cable is the one with the end taped with red tape, and it is cable – tied onto the existing one.
