Last weekend on a trip around Sutherland my Speedo ground to a halt .....
After initial inspection, the gears at the wheel hub were stripped and so a new gear set was bought.
This weekend I fit the new gear set and lubed the cable, just to find that the speedo was sticky.
I spent the whole of Saturday to open the speedo and to "free" it up. Fit the lot and was happy that it was resolved.
NOT SO !! This morning it worked for a full 6,1 km before the Speedo jammed stuck again, this time the cable snapped.
So please guys, anybody with a R1150GS Speedo and or cable ?
(preferable with more than 100k kms so I can run the clock to the 155k kms)
