Before I joined WD, and before I had my GS I rode a Harley. A little project I made for the Harley was a homebrew electronic speedo, as I wanted to see engine RPM and temperature. I also didn't like the speedo on the tank, as you had to look down to see it. I preferred it on the handlebars.
