Guys,
For the ones who know, we've recently purchased the 990 for my wife. I rode it to work and back on Friday and for me, compared to my 990S, it gets very very hot. And just in general, not necessarily the heat gauge and the cooling system or the fan going on...
The bike overall....When she cam e back on Sunday from ADA, she stopped at home and I inspected the bike. The handlebars...all the plastics...the luggage plate...the SWINGARM of all things...so hot, that you almost want to jerk your hand away with first touch...
Can this be the cause of the standard 990 pipes that restricts exhaust flow (more than an after market pipe) or something similar? Otherwise I wonder... I'm going to take it to KTM to run diagnostics and take it through a heat cycle.
