Anyone aware of an updated tensioner to cure the start-up rattle in the right side cylinder of a 2009 R1200GS?
I recall a factory tensioner update (spring-less) for my R1100S which cured a similar noise in the left side cylinder. This updated tensioner I believe is now fitted as standard to the left side tensioner on all Hexheads.
Alternatively, what is the possibility of retrofitting the spring-less left side tensioner to the right side cylinder?
Note that I have already renewed the standard right side tensioner and replaced the oil pressure relief valve without any improvement.
