So, having lost some suspension travel, ground clearance etc. I stripped out my rear shock.
Oh, dear he said!!!!!!
So,
Point 1: Preload adjuster, p#ssing oil.
Point 2: If we look carefully the shock tube is no longer the correct shape it looks like a "bell end" if you excuse the phrase.
So the shock is actually shorter than it should be, as it has deformed due to bottoming out! If you lose 5mm in shock length you have probably lost 30mm at the wheel and that means bash plate clearance.
In general, she is Farcked.
