Streetmaps V1.5 and Topo and Rec??

Any comments re the straight Streetmaps vs the Topo and Rec?

Does the Topo and Rec version alow you to see just streetmaps without the topo overlay if desired?

Is the topo really useful or does it add confusion on the screen?
