So my DL1000 broke a timing chain on the front cylinder last weekend. I was waiting for the traffic light to turn green when the bike stalled and wouldn't start again.

I checked the normal stuff then decided to pull the tappet cover and have a look see and sure enough, the timing chain pulled out like a piece of string. I pulled the head to inspect the valves and piston and I think all planets was aligned ant with some major luck on my side there is no damage to the valves or the piston (piston has recesses for valves).

As the clutch has the CHUDDER the Stroms are known for I decided to fix that at the same time but 5K for a new clutch basket does not make sense, here GOOGLE is my friend and got a thread on stormtrooper with "FIX"

Here is a few pic's for now. Will keep you updated for the heck of it.
