In standard trim. The pipes alone are hens teeth and cost a small fortune.
Bought it as a running bike, but decided to properly restore it. A project that took two years and lots of money to complete. Highlights include the complete overhaul of the brakes (calipers, master cylinders, hoses, rear disc), sprockets, chain, carbs overhauled, new inlet rubbers and countless smallest parts like correct clamps and indicator stalks, etc, etc. The motor has been totally rebuild - new crank, pistons, power valves, etc. New water pump impeller and clutch plates. New seals and gaskets throughout taking care to only use Yamaha head gasket and crank seals for quality and reliability. All electrics work perfectly. Bike starts on 3rd kick when cold and 1st kick when warm. Idles and pulls smoothly through the revs without any hiccups or flat spots. Runs like the wind and the power band always brings a smile. I have a complete photo record of the whole rebuild available.
Price is R85K which, if you do a bit of homework, is a very good price so please keep that in mind. A totally original and unrestored RD can go for R120k.
Bike is currently available to view in Pretoria, but will later be moved to Jhb.
