I'm going to Witsand at the mouth of the Breede River this coming weekend to visit some family. Planning to leave on Sat morning at the crack of dawn, and only coming back Monday.
Anyone wanting to tag along is welcome. There is a nice campsite to camp if you wish. There are some nice gravel in the area, you could go to Infanta or Jongensfontein via gravel for a day trip.
Planned route: Over Franschhoek pass to Villiersdorp, then past Helderstroom prison towards Greyton, Genadendal, to Riviersonderend. From there past Protem to Malgas and onto Witsand.
I haven't planned a route for the way back, but Bredasdorp/Napier/Caledon is an option.
