Hi all
Mounted a Oxford Hump (don't laugh, I swear that's what they named it!) tank bag on my Xcountry on Saturday. Took it for a spin..
I HATE IT!! To avoid the handlebars crashing into the bag at full turn, I had to move it back towards the seat.. and now it catches me on the inside thighs when I stand up! Makes me very very nervous!!
So.. do I try and mount it on the seat behind me?not exactly designed that way..
Also do not want to carry heavy stuff on the back, the 08 Xcountry has a weak alu subframe. So I do not want to install panniers/side mounts/soft bags etc at this point.
Or does one get a specially designed "tailbag"? I like the Hump's size (expands) but don't think I will ever get used to this thing in front on the tank.
Any advice will be most welcome!
Thanks
M
