Tar Removers

[Bill the Bong]

I had to ride through some wet tar to get into my yard.  I've tried diesel, spirits, duco thinners, but getting a tiny spot removed is a mission.  I have a fair bit of acreage to clean on one bike, swingarm, brake calipers, rotors, underside of mudguard, front of engine.  Anybody know what will undoubtedly work?  Hopefully not a brand name, but a type of chemical, etc so that I have a chance to actually find it in Upington.  If I'm really lucky, something that will not leave a dissolved bike in a puddle afterwards...
