Yesterday I went for a "quick" ride on some farm roads. I wear all my gear most of the time..... :-\ But yesterday I wore all of it! :thumleft: I got to an old road that has partially overgrown. It was sandy and narrow so (luckely!!) I rode VERY slowly through it.
I felt something catching on my foot and the next moment............ !
I could hit the front brake in time and the bike jerked, it tilted to the point of no return and I had to put it down. But that was only the beginning of an frustrating few minutes. I could not get my foot/leg out from under my bike. I started to dig the soft sand (thanx for that) from under my leg. And then I felt that I snagged a barb wire with my foot. After I got out I found that the wire was secured to a dropper. :eek7:
1. Without MX boots my foot would have been seriously damaged.
2. If riding at speed the outcome would also not have been good.
