After picking the pieces it was off to the jeep tracks and breathe taking views.
Last weekend wet and cold, now sunny and warm but still a pleasure to ride.
(note to self?.must come and explore this area more)
Here are some pics of the dogs doing what we love.

On the way back to the Highlands dirt road we had to ride through a couple of sandy patches, some short and some just long enough to be considered technical for some of the new guys( I?ll let wes comment one this) and not so new?
Once on the main gravel road it was on to Klienmond for lunch and laughs of the day, then home.

Thanks very much to all, I had a wonderful time.

Bloody hell Wes, they really got you from all angles - no mercy there, I tell you. I'm wiating for the YouTube version as well.

I am so p*ssed that I missed this, but we overslept and Mark can put it together in ten minutes - as we are by now all aware, it takes me about 2 hours so no dice. I wouldn't have just been ratty, I would've been borderline murderous.

But at least I have the ride report and this is one I enjoyed and giggled over and will continue to do so for a while to come.

Thanks for all the great pics guys....

i don't give a flying expletive what clockwork orange says, the day from here on in was highly technical for a noob like me. although, thoroughly enjoyable!!   i pushed myself well beyond my limits, and learnt a lot.

Oops forgot about those sandy patches that could easily catch one out  :D I must say I realy respect the attitudes of the noobs on the ride. They never gave up and when things got a little tricky there was no doubt that they were going for it. Even after the little offs. Well done guys

Bloody hell -well done guys

Sure looked like loads of fun.Sorry I missed on the ride (and all the falls  )

Hermanator -no doubt ur fall will be remebered for a LONG time and being caught on video -a def WD highlight for 2007

Wes - not that I'm glad you came off but since I did too 2 weeks earlier,I just feel I can relate.

Brilliant stuff -21 bikes, excellent day and glorious route.

cannot wait for to join you guys again

And as CO said - the attitude of the noobies was top notch.Proud to be nooby too :D

Well done to all. Great ride.

For the so-called newbies who had off's and near misses:

Maybe a bit of a paradox but instead of feeling "akward" "( Sp)of what happened, you should feel good. All part of the learning curve.

From now on you will attempt anything. Mark my words. Get the first off's out the way and you are sorted for what is coming.

Don't worry about that "anxiety" feeling in the pit the night before the next "newbie" trip. You will play it over and over again in your mind. It is good. Makes you more prepared for the next ride.

Where's the video clip?
