I've been thinking... and it hurts like hell... we need some kinda mad ass rally in South Africa, something along the lines of the Gumball but on a weirder, zannier kinda scale, something that will appeal to the crazy ass bikers, the okes that don't mind riding a scoot as long as it has 2 wheels. Something that's is low cost and just a total freakin jol.

Something along these lines:

Your bike has to be under 250cc, older than 15years, original other than possible motor rebuild & be road worthy.

Anything goes, road, scooter or dirt bike. The idea is for guys to go out and buy something less than 5K or pull something outta your uncle's barn on the plaas or in a couple of the older ballies on the forums case, outta your garage  ;) We're not looking for pristine restored machines here, you're gonna take this old banger to hell and back on this run and the chances are you're gonna do some damage to it coz we're gonna ride like the wind  ;)

It's gotta get you from the Waterfront in the Cape, all the way to the deserted sand flats of Verneukpan. We'll trailer what's left of the bangers home  ;D

Beside the planned route up, along the way we will have rally stages e.g.
Enduro type sand track race set up in the riverbed at Oasis
Jocks & g-string  :mwink: drag race at Stonehenge
Log dragging competition near Mofs pozzie
Timed hill climb up Botterkloof or Kattebakkies Pass  :)

You getting the idea here??? Whatever prize a person wins on a stage he has to carry it with him on the bike the rest of the rally to handicap him from being such a ringer e.g. maybe surfboard at Stonehenge

The whole idea is to have a total jol on bikes who's top speed will barely reach 100km/h and in the evening have a moerse lekker kuiker with your maaitjies  :thumleft:

Could this thing fly?
