I was on the way to the 6th Tumper bash in the rain on Friday, when suddenly my Red Immobilizer light on the dash came on, It Was Raining.
Mmmm , I thought that cant be good, The bike rode for about 10 kays and as I tuned a RH corner the bike cut out , like dead.
I called Yamaha and was told by Mech. the connection is under the fuel tank.
Called a friend , picked up my bike , and off to his place.
The loom passes under the fuel tank , and it had chaffed two wires , one being the immobilizer wire ..
Pulled the wires up ,. taped the two damaged wires individually .
Fitted a piece of bike tube over loom , replaced a blown 10 amp fuse and all good
