Like a duck to water...I came back..the valves were spot on, no oil leaks, nothing, I prepsolled it, lubed the chain and went riding..

Beserker - Very nice report, thanks

I am so jealous, as its been more  than a year ago that we were there and am racking my brain to make a plan to get back, because despite being through Kaoko and Damaraland, three stretches still does not have my name on it:
1) Van Zyl's - Camp Syncro
2) Epupa-Swartbooisdrift
3) Doros Crater - Rhino Ugab Camp

You guys however earned my respect, beacuse you made it seem effortless in the way you tamed that majestic piece of harsh planet.

AWESOME!  :thumleft: :thumleft:

His dad and mine are nephews, we used to be neighbours in Stellenbosch. He is quite at home on bike :3some:

He can't walk if he does not have a bike between his legs...I swear, he gets on one to go to the loo  ;D, Brilliant guy to have on a trip.

Now that's how it's done.

Reports like yours are not good for me. I will go back one day. That's the problem with the place, the more I saw the bigger and more compelling it became. There is always the next hill or the other dirt track that I would love to have taken but didn't/couldn't, not because the one I took was better but just because that's the way it turned out.

Salute!

first time i saw the thread

Could not have said it better, I have just finished the red Toyota Bic lighter I bought in Ruacana, I could not get the place out of my head. The pleasure of just pointing your front knobbly down an endless trail, knowing the riding will be as good as it gets "because that's the way it turned out." ....Oi
