tire pressures for Trans Alp 700

This may have been discussed to death already. Sorry about that, but what tire pressures are you finding works best on the 700 TA. I have Heidenhau K60 on the rear and Bridgestore dual something on the front. To me 3 bar at the rear seams too hard but 2 bar makes the tire hot when riding on tar. What is the lowest pressure for offroad that does not bend rims on rocks etc, the lower the pressure the better the grip, but to what point? Your experience and advice will be appreciated.
