To XR400 or not to???

I need some advice, please. Does anybody on here own or owned a XR400. I'm interested in one, think it's a 1997 model. It looks ok and seems to have been looked after quite well, and the current owner seems to be a honest person. If you can share your experience with this bike, it will be much appreciated.  ???
