Please tell if the following is correct as i have no idea about the TomTom device and software. I have no GPS knowledge actually. Generally smell where i have to go
A family friend is here from the UK with a Tom Tom One XL. He has the UK maps loaded. From a few searches on the net i take it the following is the correct "LEGAL" procedure to follow.
1. He needs to get a SD Memory card.
2. Load the TomTom Home software on the pc.
3. Connect to TomTom
4. Select maps - choose SA map.
5. Pay
6. It will then load the SA map and he will NOT lose his UK maps. I seen there is an option to change maps on the actual Device.
Is there not a 30 trial on the maps or something as he is only here for 4 weeks and paying for it is a bit of a waste.
