Topbox or Panniers?

Heard the other day on a training course that it is dangerous to ride with a Topbox in certain conditions ? if I remember correctly it creates a ?vacuum? behind your rear wheel which could make the bike unstable ? ??? I would prefer the Topbox, because the Panniers makes the bike very big & wide.

So in your "expert" opinion :wink: , should I ignore this advice ? or rather ride with Panniers?
