Just some tips and do and don't s feel free to add.

1) This is a open and free advertising board, so don't even try and contact us when you were done in by someone and want us, that's the owners of the site and mods, to make good for your loss.  :deal:

2) caveat emptor and  Caveat venditor apply, click-click if you need to know what it means.

3) When posting an add, make sure it is correct before hitting the post button, we have had instances where people change the conditions afterwards or price as advertised. If need be add a new post and add whatever you need to the new post, it will make a good paper trail should you get trouble with buyers.
We are looking into taking away the edit rights on this board.

4) Make sure you have ALL info in the thread, PRICE, ITEM, HOW MANY, YEAR MODEL the works, with all your contact details.
4.a) Make sure to list what is sold with the bike and what not, and make it clear to the buyer, the pictures you post must reflect this, it's easy for buyer to assume whatever is on the bike at time of sale are included in the price and package.

5) Buyers:
If you want first option post it on the site, easy to see who's got second option, happened once where a oke PM'ed a seller and there were a dispute who contacted the seller first for first option. Easy to see on pm's and date posted, but we do not like to play judge in such cases, and it is time wasting.

6) Be open and honest, it's that easy, take dealings to email if need be, and keep a track record. Quote the original post in your first reply - that way we have a record

7)New members posting stuff for sale might not know the nitty-gritty of forum etiquette or rules, do not assume they will post in order of options taken on a item, or any other info that we normally look for. Regard it the same as you would have dealt with a Gumtree add.
