My bike just had it's 18,000km service and according to the manual that service should include a new air filter.
I just checked my invoice and no filter was charged for. I phoned the dealership to ask whether they had actually changed the filter, and they said that "It wasn't that dirty and they just cleaned it out with high pressure air."
Now granted, I don't see as much dirt riding as I would like to and that filter is probably over-specced to begin with, but it has seen 18,000km, including the odd dusty ride. SURELY it must need a change by now. ???
(The bike is still under warranty so it would have to be a standard Honda filter.)
Am I being over-cautious? Can I save myself R500 and just leave it for now?
