The Tubliss have been on my one Dakar since KTMJedi imported them a few years back. I then decided to try use it for our trip up to Germany through Africa.
To date I had a punture on one of the front wheels and plugged it with a tubeless tyre worm, the tyre was on 3000km odd. Now on 12000km the hole got bigger to such an extend that I had to plug it with 5 plugs. It is still lasting on 15000km and I will fit new tyres when back in Nairobi in a week or so. They work well and the time we had a flat the tyre stayed on the rim and it took us a whopping 5min to get going again.
On both bikes I have to increase pressure in both inner tubes on avarage once in two weeks and it drops pressure form 100psi to around 80psi on both.
Some people use Fugit and Slime in the tyres. I dont and this is one reason I dont use them. They are waterbased and when you get a hole bigger than 3mm the Slime will not plug the hole. The only way then is a worm but a worm wont stick as the waterbased slime will disolve the plug glue.
I had a rear flat and it took us nearly 30min to fit a new tube, not withstanding the fact that the spare tubes are a lot of weight to carry and takes up a lot of space we could have used for other stuff. I really hope Tubliss can get 17" rears going soon!
