two xt's, sometimes on a trailer...went to a bash....it went like this....

the snow was thick on the mountains in beaufort west...we knew it was going to be cold on the bikes....but we had places to go....

it was getting prettier...none of that flat nonsense you get in the karoo....my little bike was humming with joy....

on the Saturday, I took a solo through seweweekspoort, the last time I had been here, was on my first virgin journey on a bike...a wonderful experience...this time I could look around and not focus so much on the riding and staying upright part of it....

we were all fired up for Saturday night party kuier....it was as good as I thought it would be....and very long....

sunday we said good bye...took some headache tablets....and made for swartbergpass, through groenkloof...it was magnificent....

the last time I had been to the Swartberg pass, the wind was blowing so much, we decided it would be dangerous as a new rider....this time it was closed for snow....but we went up anyway...it was like I was riding up to heaven...

we left swartberg pass , and my heart behind...and entered Prince Albert....I did not care for it much...reminded me of the cheap commercialism of Dullstroom...we had a quick lunch and moved on...along a backward dirt road...that went on for 100 km of straight smooth karoo roads.....mountains to the right of me....flatness to the left...here I was, stuck in the middle......

as the roads where so smooth, you could ride really fast....we still had to rush to beat a storm over beauford west...entered the town as a cloud also entered it.....it was cold and dark....we limped home to The vale...and some strange skaap and boerekos....the next morning we left early....the long ride to gariep started...to fetch Swysies limping old lady...as well as doing some work there....

CHORSE who could not go, and donated his entry to me, making it possible for me to go....such kindness....
thank you to my friend Tweets, that always inspires, teaches, and fills one with so much enthusiasm to do things....without you my friend...my life would have so much less adventure...
and thank you to all the wonderful Wilddogs...who travel this world on two wheels with as much love ...
my eyes are now full of pretty...and I can dream of the next adventure ...
