I'm in the process of checking the valves on the KLR. What a PITA!! Shees, you have to dismantle half the bike! Anyway, I was trying to unplug the gauge wire, circled in red in the photo below, at the bottom of the radiator and I swear I hardly touched the thing and the pin broke off. This obvioulsy means that the fan won't come on which mine does every day even in the mids of winter over here. I had a cheapo fix for this on my KLR600 at varsity - a bedlamp lightswitch which I'd manually switch on every time the temperature gauge got about half way. That did however lead to an unfortunate bike/dog interface...But I digress... Do I have to replace the whole unit or can this be fixed somehow?
