V-Strom dropping idling

Hi guys, can anybody help?  My 2009 DL 650 with 38 000 km on the clock is giving idling problems.  When I start it up the idling is perfect at 1200 rpm.  When I ride it normally (mildly) and stops, the idling drops to 800 rpm.  It will then slowly (about 6-8 seconds) pics up to the normal 1200 rpm.  Pulling of and stop again, the problem repeats.  Riding the bike hard and stops, the revs will drop as low as 600 rpm and recover to the normal 1200 rpm within a few seconds.  Sounds then like the V-twin wants to cut out.  The idling problem also occurs when closing the throttle and pulling in the clutch lever while riding.  Please!: what must I do ???
