Vespa/Old scooter Owners weigh in - rear wheel wobble

I'm having an issue with the old girl where the rear wheel wobbles as if the bearings are shot - however when I put it on the stand there is zero side-side play on the wheel - it obviously bolts into the gearbox so this would be my next question - anyone here have experience with this sort of issue?
