A report done last year into UKGSer, i'll post it here just to give you a breeze how the world looks up here.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Did a litte islands visit to Saaremaa and Muhu in Estonia, took my better half with me. It was 1100 kilometres per three days and most of the time on wheels, thus lot of offroad action till cilly boring tarmac.

Included one estonian's R1200GS helping out from mudhole on the same trac we were - he's bike was fully drowned and full of water, from cylinders till exhaust, and he killed the starter too trying it, dude transported it to Tallinn's BMW for complete repair.

Typical gravel to fly on, put some 150-160kph into it and it's nice smooth cruising with the beasty GS boxer, running just around 5K rpms, except only the huge dirt coud following you.

Not just one, there were many falls - just waned to practise faster driving, but the depth- and soft varying sandy grooves on small pistes often take their part... :D Good driving practice it was indeed.

Noupe.

An old Russian USSR camera. The film media maybe makes the colour information a bit more different, but the colours aren't not much unleashed, unlike you there have mostly deep green "burned out" by the Sun throughout the year with warm weather we have -30C winters here so the green is "fresh" at it's maximum level for two to three months and then starts to fade. So very contrasty stuff we got here - from deep white snow to deep green in one year, it never get's boring for photographic action.

Say with that fall in the sand... did your panniers make it? :?

Amazingly this time they did it. I've blown them off couple of times playing in the mud, i guess the luggage roll supported them.

I put aluminium ones on later and prefer them, plastic not good for such usage.

Hope this helps!

those are the best bunch of ds pics i've ever seen! :thumbleft:
