Andy I decided at the last moment to join and what a good decision it was. Thanks for your initiative and the willingness to organize rides like this. You are highly appreciated by us and should never stop! Well Done! As a teacher I couldn't resist saying it.

To the rest of the group, what a fine bunch of guys together. No crazy miss-fits on stunt bikes........or am I making a slight mistake here? ( referring to some of the pic's taken of Muzz...? )   :spitcoffee:

In 'n yskoue Bainskloof kom Flash Gordon aka Andy660 soos gewoonlik eerste om die draai

Nadat ons danksy Andy 'n paar keer die klankgrens gebreek het, beland ons darem uiteindelik in die Poort na die Karoo.

Op die Patatsvlei pad ry jy onverwags na 'n blinde hoogte deur 'n erg verspoelde klipperige driffie. Na dié skrikmakertjie stop ons eers almal om voorraadopname te hou en iets te nuttig. 

Op die tweede foto is Breekbeen besig om 'n Calvinia vastrap te dans.  :lol8:

NMS stap verdwaas rond nadat sy voete in die driffie van die trapplekke af geglip het en hy toe amper 'n Tap-danskompetisie gewen het.  :3some:

Hierdie Austin Healey's was oppad Sutherland toe. Die vier-silinder modelle is glo so R600000.00 werd en haal 160km/u  terwyl jy vir R800000.00 die ses-silinder kan koop wat 170km/u kan haal. Dis nou by gesê , as jy iemand kan kry wat syne wil verkoop. Die goed se veerstelsels is glo nog harder as die Transalp sin. Dis vir my persoonlik seker die mooiste outydse sportmotortjie wat jy kry.

Nou hier eindig my saamry toe en moes ek noodgedwonge teerpad terug ry. Soos gewoonlik stop ek in Du Toitskloof voordat die heimwee van nog 'n lekker dag my oorval.

Guys, thank you so much. Wonderfull, help full and an EXTREMELY! patient bunch of guys with this newbie slow snail. Was so embarrassed but learnt so much and even reached 105 kph momentarily, on gravel. Wow! For me. Will practice lots and in a few months time, will join again, need to do some homework. Once again, thank you so much and a special word of thanks for Andy. Somehow SAAF chopper guys just seem to feature where ever I go. GREAT!

Awesome ride....always enjoyed that route ...how did he Varedero go?

I looked and looked all day but I never saw a Varedero..

What a lekker day out, lekker bunch of okes, lekker roads, loads of dust and a decent pace, best of all no falls or spills..  :thumleft: Will post pics when I get a chance although Breekbeen & co have posted some awesome pics there.

PS: if nobody mentioned it.. Saggy Stone did not dissapoint, beer was FANTASTIC.. I even went for a refill.. lunch was supurb and the place looked very neat.. well worth supporting.

Andy ,will gladly join again. Experience level just sadly lacking and still have to make peace with
Beast. Would love to join again when I'm not a complete slow coach. Just imagine how difficult that is is for a flamgatdriver to admit to a French egg-mixer mechanic that I don't have a clue how to drive 2wheel machines where CAA says you should not go.Thanks my friend!

Iets persoonliks oor elke ryer:

1. gwild ons sweeper van die dag, jy is een van die gemaklikste mense om mee saam te ry wat ek ken. Ons moet begin beplan aan ons Middelpos/Sutherland trip!
2. Andy jy is 'n baie spesiale mens. Hou net aan om goed te doen!
3. Wesley ek ken jou nog nie so goed om vir my hier Dr Phil te kom hou nie maar jy't 'n blêrrie mooi bike, kry net vir hom growwer bande dan jaag jy een van die dae vir Andy onder die stof.
4. Kaspaas jou bike het die status en die dreuning wat myne nooit sal hê nie. Was goed om jou ook weer te sien.
5. NMS as ander nie vir jou kan lag nie is jy 'n onaanvaarbare mens. Dit was lekker om saam met jou te ry en vir 'n eerste keer en dit nog met die grootste fiets, wil dit gedoen wees. Hoop ons sien jou sommer nou gereëld.  :thumleft:
6. Fuzzy Muzzy the man that plays the character roles and  can ride a Transalp flat out just like someone else I know very well.  :ricky:
7. Bottervet ek was verras om jou weer raak te loop. Wonder gereëld wat van jou geword het.
8. Breekbeen die man wat soos ek ook in Calvinia die lig gesien het. Al het jy nou eers 25jaar na my jou eerste skreeu gegee voel jy vir my soos familie.
9. Flatout soos gewoonlik die Oupa van die dag maar hoe draai 'n mens nou jare terug en sou mens dit doen as jy kon?

Ike a fun ride was had by all. What was the longest stretch between fuel stops?

By my account about 220km.. I was starting to sniff the bottom of my tank at one stage, riding flatout sucks fuel and so a half decent range was not the order of the day as the pace was quite brisk.

Ok so then range not an issue.  I must ask Andy for the route if he saved the file. We had a lekker ride to Oasis just for a chamge
