WD in IT hardware: Need Lenovo laptop repaired (JHB / Benoni)

Laptop not switching on when on button is pressed. The charger light does not come on. Suspect maybe a safety measure as the unit was opened so perhaps a switch to detect if machine has been opened for warranty management. Laptop was hit by virus and access to drive data was limited. Drive was taken out to be used as slave for recovery and when put back into the laptop it would not switch on.
