This question is based on my rather limited experience recently.
I ride my bike daily for commuting purposes. It's going to be insanely hot again this summer but I'm in full ATGATT - cordura jacket and pants with armour, and boots. To me this is necessary for when I fall over on tarmac but offroad seems like it could be a different story.
Over the weekend I rode some of the trails at Daytona outside Fourways. It was slow stuff as I'm a noob at this with the OEM tires are still on the bike. I cooked myself in the heat as it was about 32 in the sun and I was in 1st or 2nd most of the time.
I'm thinking I should invest in some MX gear for the offroad stuff. Is this the right approach?
What are you guys and girls using for different scenarios - tar, fast gravel, slower and more technical?
