Looking to get some for the R1150GS, I'm 1.91m tall - thinking anything from 35mm to 50mm, not sure. Handle bar is stock thickness (22mm).
Any comments? I've heard before than you shouldn't actually stand exactly upright, but use your core muscles to help steer, that means to have you back bent slightly (which happens if you don't have handle bar raisers). What is the general consensus out there, do these things serve a worthy purpose when doing gravel? Do you stand as much as you see guys on BMW stand on pics? When do you stand, only when technical? It seems once the guys have gone for a training course (probably at BMW), they stand when riding on dirt/gravel most of the time...
