My headlight bulb needs replacing and I would like to install a 100 watt instead of a 60/55 standard bulb.
Autozone only have a 130 watt, besides the standard one, but told me I need a relay as it could burn out my switch. The way I see it the 130 watt bulb would draw 10.83 amps at 12 volts, and 9.28 amps at 14 (running) volts. What does the R80GS alternator put out ? Switch who knows. ???????
