Pack Dog
I'm doing a 20 day trip through Namibia in April and can't make up my mind on what kind of luggage to use. My Dakar has got Touratech alu panniers on(used once on the highway), but they are huge and wide and bulky. Soft luggage like Giant Loop Great Basin and Bags Connection Speedpack look far less bulky and look like it will be easier to handle the bike when it gets technical.
So, I'm thinking of selling the panniers and buy soft luggage. But the panniers actually belonged to my dad, so he will get the money from the sale. Will this be stupid to sell them(not get money) and spend money on soft luggage? Are the advantages of soft luggage so much more than hard luggage to justify selling the panniers or should I keep them?
