You know once in a blue moon riding a bike as opposed to a cage saves your life. Tuesday morning was one of those blessed days. Going down Long Tom pass, fully loaded, and in the thickest mist I have seen in ages I really appreciated being on a bike. As I approached one of the corners, the next moment I just saw lights (everywhere), swerved (said my thanks later) and went between a truck and the barrier through the corner. Turned out a lumber truck thought it completely normal to overtake another lumber truck going up Long Tom, in thick mist, around a corner. Fâ?¦CK. If I could turn around safely, I would have moerd him so hard he would have seen mist for the rest of his life. So this once, very happy I was on a bike. To my pillion, brave girl â?? thanks for holding on â?? that was the wildest swerve imaginable.
