- KTM 990 Adventure
I was at a spanner head braai this evening. It's a get together of restorers of cars and some of the old boys were ogling my 990.
One of them said that he could remember when KTM were first introduced into South Africa, they instantly caused a scene as they didn't look anything like the bikes already here. He did know that they were all offroad models. I asked if he knew what year and models where brought in.
He was sure that it was the early 90's when they first were brought in officially and that the importer was based in Cape Town operating out of his house in Edgemead.
So, out of curiosity, what was the history of KTM in South Africa?
