As per usual, my short legs and tall bike meant that I had this view of my bike bike a couple of times on the gnarly sections…..

Got about 3/4 up the very steep climb but could not get going at that point. In my defence, the track was strewn with 2 strokes that didn’t make the climb. I reckon with a little help, we could all have  gone all the way up but my riding buddies (690 and T7) turned around so I had no choice but to follow.

To be fair, the guys we overtook were back markers and mostly families and beginners that were going quite slow. The race snakes up front were setting a blistering pace which the big bikes could not keep up with

It was very steep! Intimidating to stand at the foot of the climb on a big bike!
