My bike finaly arrived back in London on March 31st after sitting on the dock of the (Table) Bay for about two months. Thanks to Adrian at Econotrans in Paarden Eiland for his help, he worked hard to sort all the problems. Flew down to get it then had a bloody freezing 1000km or so to cover back to Inverness. Stripped it down - only major thing I found was a leaking input seal on the FD, otherwise the old girl seems to have got through it's trip down your way relatively unscathed, if you ignore the damage done to my aux lights by the sandstorm we hit going into Luderitz..
Anyway, after patching it up I finally managed to get a quick 270km or so run over to the west coast of the Highlands to celebrate being back on two wheels (I sold the Falco...).
Loch Glascarnoch on the Inverness to Ullapool road. Wee bit o' snow left on the tops.
Looking down towards Loch Broom and Ullapool
Gruinard Bay looking north.
Found a nice bench overlooking the beach at Gairloch to sit on while I ate my sarnie.
Surprisingly difficult to get a decent pic of Loch Maree. Shame, as I reckon it is much more scenic than Loch Ness.
Once I reached the eastern side of the country the sun was gone, but it was a cracking day out and the bike was purring.
