I rode day 1 with a local group who went on a 4 day ride. Most guys were on 400-650 class singles, and the AT was by far the porkiest. It was hard work to get through the thick rutted clay bog holes and steep rocky climbs, but I somehow came through unscathed.

Near the origin of the Yarra river, the big river that flows through Melbourne city a few hundred km's away.




Summit of Mt Matlock where I turned back home.


Thomson Dam, the primary water supply of the Melbourne metro. It is a rare sight to see it at capacity.

Laas daar gewees met ‘n 1200GS met my dogter as pillion, moes die bike om ‘n hek manoeuvre om weer uit te kom.

Lank gelede baie bass gevang daar.
