WHICH OIL TO USE FOR GEARBOX R 80G/S ?

Hi:
What is the best oil for the  gear box of my R80 G/S ?
Yestserday I took her for a ride, and felt that was jerking in first gear when I push her a bit hard ,I stopped and the gearbox oil was low.
Any body with experience in gear boxes can please give me some advice about what kind of oil and what do they think is the problem? ???
